Some projects simply produce more waste than anything else can hold. The 40 yard container is our largest option, holding roughly twelve pickup truck loads of debris. It is designed for commercial demolitions, large scale construction, industrial cleanouts, and major roofing projects on commercial buildings across Dos Palos, CA.
This container is built for volume rather than weight. It excels with bulky, lighter materials like framing lumber, packaging, insulation, and furniture. For dense debris like concrete and soil, smaller containers remain the safer and more economical option.
Dimensions and site requirements
A 40 yard roll-off is typically about 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and around 8 feet tall, with minor variation between units. The tall walls mean most loading happens through the rear door or with equipment. Before delivery, confirm there is enough overhead clearance for the truck to tilt the container into position and enough firm ground to support it when full.
This size is usually not practical for residential driveways, and it is most often placed on commercial lots, construction sites, and industrial properties. Our team will ask about access width, overhead obstructions, and ground conditions so the delivery goes smoothly on the first attempt.
Typical materials
Where the 40 yard earns its place
Large commercial demolitions generate enormous volumes of mixed debris. Warehouse and retail cleanouts produce shelving, racking, pallets, and fixtures in bulk. New construction on multi-unit buildings creates steady streams of packaging, framing scraps, and drywall. In each case, the 40 yard reduces how often you need swaps, which keeps crews focused on the work.
For extended projects in Dos Palos, CA, pairing the 40 yard with scheduled swaps can keep a site clean for months. We coordinate timing so empty containers arrive as full ones leave, minimizing downtime and keeping your project on schedule.
We cleared a 30,000 square foot warehouse. Two 40 yard containers on rotation meant the crew never waited on a haul.
Before you book
Can a 40 yard go in a residential driveway?
It is usually too large and tall for typical driveways. We generally recommend a 20 or 30 yard for residential use.
What is the best way to load such a tall container?
Use the rear door for walk-in loading or load with equipment such as a skid steer where site conditions allow.
Can I schedule recurring swaps?
Yes. We can set a regular swap schedule or respond when you call, depending on your project pace.
